Art Nouveau
Art Nouveau is the German term for the style of international importance in applied and fine arts, which developed around 1890/95 and until the 20s of the 20th Century continues. In Germany, the new art direction is called "Youth" since 1896, according to the Munich-based magazine that is committed to the dissemination of style and this forum is for early motion. In France and Belgium, the style "Art Nouveau" in Austria "secession" in the Netherlands' Nieuwe Kunst "in Italy" style floral "or" Stile Liberty "(according to an influential British representatives of this style), in England and mentioned in the Anglo-American "Modern Style".
The Art Nouveau style is emerging as a kind of defensive position against the historicism and its neostilistischen tendencies. Lively designs with floral motifs such as flowers, roots, lilies, lily, later also strict geometric forms dominate the appearance of Art Nouveau.
